A much delayed post about our amazing Patient Care Coordinator, Traci.

Traci started as our Front Office e Coordinator but quickly demonstrated leadership potential and when the opportunity arose, she was promoted to our Otiwht Care Coordinator. She has excelled in this role and not looked back!

Traci is so loved in her current position that she caught the attention of the @frisco_chamber and was nominated for their Employee of the Year for Frisco! We are excited to celebrate her this weekend, and stop by to congratulate next time you are near the office.

For those of you who do not know Traci; here are a few fun facts:

From: Dallas originally. Lived in Palos Verdes, CA as a kid and Redondo Beach, CA post college, then back to Dallas.

Fun Facts: I’m ambidextrous, play the piano by ear, am a Baylor Bear, and obsessed with decorating for the holidays - EVERY holiday.

Family: Married to Peyton for 25 years and have 2 college aged boys, Max and Will, plus 3 dogs. Some of you may know Traci as her alter ego, Mary Puppins.

What is capsular contracture?

Capsular contracture is a complication that can occur after breast augmentation or reconstruction with implants. It happens when the body’s natural response to the implant—forming a protective scar tissue capsule around it—becomes excessive, causing the capsule to thicken, tighten, and squeeze the implant. This can lead to pain, distortion of the breast shape, and firmness.

Capsular contracture is graded using the Baker classification system:
• Grade I: The breast is soft and appears natural.
• Grade II: The breast is slightly firm but looks normal.
• Grade III: The breast is firm and looks abnormal (distorted or misshapen).
• Grade IV: The breast is hard, painful, and visibly distorted.

The exact cause isn’t always clear, but risk factors include bacterial contamination, hematoma, implant rupture, and genetic predisposition. Treatment options range from massage and medication for mild cases to surgical removal (capsulectomy) or implant replacement for severe cases.
